This evening Rondi laid on dinner for me in a small restaurant called Cesarina. Lizzani and his wife, Fellini and Giulietta Masina, Rondi, Lora and I. It was somehow very nice. I tried to telephone Moscow from there, but it was no good. The operator said the receiver was not in place in Moscow. Now I am back here: Lora booked a call for me, and I am waiting for them to ring. Maybe I shall be able to talk to Larissa after all.
